Charles H. Rittgers

Charles H. Rittgers is an AV rated* attorney focused on criminal defense, personal injury and civil litigation. He has been selected for inclusion in the Ohio Super Lawyers list each year since 2008. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multimillion Dollar Advocates Forum, groups limited to attorneys who have won million and multimillion dollar verdicts and settlements.

Mr. Rittgers' successes have gained him significant media attention. One of his cases was featured on NBC's Dateline and, more recently, another on 48 Hours; the jury trial in that same case being aired in its entirety on Court TV. He has been asked to appear on such programs as NBC's Today show, The O'Reilly Factor, Inside Edition and CNN. His cases have often been a source for stories in local news affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN and FOX, as well as major Ohio newspapers, The New York Times, New York Post and USA Today.

Mr. Rittgers is the past president of the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Warren County Bar Association, and a former board member of the Greater Cincinnati Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, which is by invitation only. He is also a founding member of the National College of DUI Defense. He is currently a member of these organizations, as well as the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Trial Lawyers Association and the Ohio Association for Justice.
