Zachary J. Murry

A partner at Barkan & Robon Ltd., Zachary J. Murry focuses his practice on a variety of matters. From the firm’s offices in Maumee, Ohio, he provides representation to people and businesses in the greater Toledo metropolitan area and throughout the northwestern portion of the state. Admitted to practice before all Ohio state courts since 2011, Mr. Murry is also admitted to practice in Michigan and Maryland.

A portion of Mr. Murry’s caseload involves personal injury and wrongful death litigation. In this regard, he assists people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses due to the negligence or recklessness of other parties. The types of these cases that Mr. Murry has handled have arisen out of incidents involving medical malpractice, truck accidents and other motor vehicle accidents, and he has been able to obtain significant compensation for his clients through both jury awards and settlements that he has negotiated out of court with defendants and their liability insurance companies.

Mr. Murry also has an active estate planning practice in which he regularly prepares and reviews wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. He tailors each plan to a client’s individual needs and objectives, often with an aim of avoiding what can often be a lengthy and expensive probate process. In addition, Mr. Murry has represented individuals and businesses in eminent domain proceedings.

Mr. Murry attended The Ohio State University as an undergraduate, where he majored in English and received a Bachelor of Arts. He then went on to pursue his legal education at The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2007.
