Jeffrey W. Snead is a highly experienced civil litigation attorney and partner at the law firm of Thorson Switala Mondock & Snead LLP in Miamisburg, Ohio, offering his legal services to clients across the state. His practice areas cover a broad spectrum of legal matters, including cases involving:

  • Car and truck accidents
  • Motorcycle accidents
  • Slip-and-fall accidents
  • Birth injuries
  • Nursing home issues
  • Medical malpractice
  • Wrongful death claims

Mr. Snead commenced his academic journey at Indiana University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics with a minor in political science in 1990. Subsequently, he joined The University of Toledo College of Law, where he successfully obtained his Juris Doctor in 1994. During his time at Toledo, he showcased his legal acumen by securing a win in the 1992 Charles W. Fornoff Moot Court competition and receiving the Barrister Award for his exceptional appellate advocacy. Additionally, he actively participated in the Constitutional and National Moot Court teams.

To embark on his legal career, Mr. Snead began in the public sector, serving as a staff attorney at the Ohio Court of Claims in Columbus. In this role, he diligently assisted the judges in overseeing a wide array of civil lawsuits filed against the State of Ohio.

Mr. Snead returned to his home town of Centerville, Ohio in 1997 to take a position as an associate attorney at the law firm of Crew, Buchanan, & Lowe.

In 2000, Mr. Snead began working at the law firm of Gregory C. Gibson Co. LPA, where he concentrated his practice in medical malpractice and personal injury litigation. He ultimately became a partner, and while the firm primarily defended physicians and doctors in malpractice lawsuits, they also began representing victims of medical negligence. Recognizing his genuine passion for advocating for those who suffered harm through no fault of their own, Mr. Snead joined Thorson Switala Mondock & Snead LLP in 2002.

In his current civil litigation practice, Mr. Snead’s exemplary legal abilities were acknowledged in 2013 when he received an AV Preeminent* rating through Martindale-Hubbell, the highest recognition from his peers for both legal ability and ethics.

*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
