Since earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2014, Attorney Christopher Orr has dedicated his practice to serving the needs of Ohio families in estate planning, probate, trusts, and elder law. He has built a reputation for delivering comprehensive estate plans, retirement and asset protection strategies, and trusted representation in estate and trust administrations.

Christopher Orr is the founder and managing partner of The Law Offices of Christopher R. Orr LLC—a firm built on the belief that estate planning is for everyone and that informed clients make the best decisions for themselves and their families. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

Recognized as one of Ohio’s leading attorneys for trusts and estates, Attorney Orr has been named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” five times. His legal analysis of Ohio’s “Doctrine of Necessities” for the Sixth District Court of Appeals remains the authoritative interpretation of that state law. He has also worked with the Ohio State Bar Association to educate attorneys and legal professionals on evolving estate planning strategies involving cryptocurrency and blockchain technology. Christopher Orr is the author of the book “Estate Planning Explained: A Practical Guide to Protecting What Matters Most.”

A proud U.S. Army veteran, Attorney Orr served in both Military Intelligence and Military Police. Outside the office, he is an avid long-distance runner, having completed multiple 50-mile and 24-hour races and coached others through Marathoner-in-Training programs. He lives in Granville, Ohio with his wife, two children, a grumpy cat, and an over-enthusiastic chocolate lab.
