Christopher M. Mellino

Licensed in Ohio since 1984, Christopher M. Mellino is the owner of The Mellino Law Firm LLC, headquartered in Rocky River, Ohio. He handles all personal injury matters pertaining to medical malpractice, truck accidents, wrongful death, defective products, birth injuries and brain injuries.

Over the years, Mr. Mellino has been successful in achieving high-value settlements and verdicts against several hospitals in the Cleveland area, including settlements of $12.5 million and $28.7 million. He has also litigated landmark cases such as Moskovitz vs. Mt. Sinai Medical Center (1994) and Watkins vs. Cleveland Clinic Foundation (1998).

Mr. Mellino’s achievements in legal practice have earned him membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a “Superb” rating on Avvo. In addition, he has been peer-review rated AV Preeminent* through Martindale-Hubbell and selected to the list of Top 100 Litigation Lawyers by the American Society of Legal Advocates and the National Trial Lawyers Top 100. He has been the chair of the medical malpractice section of the Ohio Association for Justice and was on the board of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys.

Receiving his bachelor’s degree in 1981 from the Cleveland State University, Mr. Mellino went on to secure his law degree cum laude from the Cleveland State University College of Law. He has been admitted to practice in Ohio and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He holds memberships in the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys, the Ohio Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice.
