John T. Murray

Focusing his practice on complex civil litigation matters at both the state and federal levels, John T. Murray is an attorney at Leslie Murray Law. He is located in the firm’s offices in Sandusky, Ohio, and he provides representation to businesses and individuals throughout Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Huron counties and other parts of the eastern Toledo metropolitan area.

Mr. Murray has been admitted to practice before all Ohio state courts since 1979. He is additionally admitted to practice in New York and Colorado as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.

Mr. Murray has handled a variety of civil litigation cases throughout his career. They have included causes of action based on family law, personal injury and wrongful death claims that have involved medical malpractice and defective products, contract breaches, securities law violations, corporate finance, workers’ compensation, and consumer protection issues. Mr. Murray has been able to obtain successful results for his clients through both jury verdicts after lengthy trials and settlements that he has negotiated with opposing parties.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Murray attended the University of Dayton, where he majored in sociology and anthropology and received a Bachelor of Science in 1974. After graduation, he was a counselor in the Montgomery County Juvenile Court system before pursuing his legal education at the Ohio Northern University School of Law and being awarded his Juris Doctor in 1979. Mr. Murray has been with his current firm since July 2018.
