Graduating with honors from the City College of New York – College of Staten Island in 2002, Mr. Olawale earned his Bachelor of Science in communication, media studies and journalism before completing his J.D. at the Capital University Law School in 2005. During law school, he was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, listed in Who’s Who in American Universities and Colleges, and inducted into the Order of the Curia.
Licensed to practice before all Ohio state courts since 2005, Mr. Olawale has some remarkable case victories under his belt. In 2011, he convinced the court to disregard two guilty pleas and convictions that occurred 19 years prior, and in 2012, he won a $2.5 million settlement for the wrongful death of a two-year-old child in a car accident case. - In 2011, Emmanuel was able to successfully convince the Court to vacate two guilty pleas and convictions dating back to nineteen years (State of Ohio v. Cumberbatch, Franklin County Case Numbers 1992 CR B 007256/ 1992 CRB 7288). In 2012, Emmanuel was able to have a felony guilty plea and conviction dating over eighteen years vacated in State of Ohio v. Phillips, Franklin County Case No. 94 CR 05 2782. Emmanuel also prevailed on appeal in Case No. 12 AP-240. In 2015, Emmanuel successfully assisted a client to vacate two felony convictions two years after the convictions. He won both at the trial court level and the appellate level.
