Brian G. Miller, founder and President of Brian G. Miller Co., L.P.A., is a respected Columbus personal injury lawyer with extensive experience representing injured people. He focuses his Central Ohio litigation practice on plaintiffs’ personal injury and wrongful death cases, including serious roadway accidents involving motor vehicles, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. He also represents those involved in workplace and premises negligence cases, including construction accidents, resulting from unprotected or unguarded hazards, lack of job site communications or warnings, safety violations, and OSHA violations. His clientele consists of all types of individuals, including laborers and professionals, as well as his own colleagues, who have sought his assistance with respect to negligence, employer intentional tort, and complex claims. Mr. Miller also serves as outside legal counsel to the NHL’s Columbus Blue Jackets.
Mr. Miller is a former Assistant Franklin County Prosecutor where he initially earned respect for his abilities as a trial lawyer. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, a member of the Million Dollar and Multimillion Dollar Advocates Forums, and Best Lawyers in America which named him as the Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year for Columbus, Ohio, in 2019. In addition to obtaining the highest verdict in the State of Ohio in 2017 ($34.3 million, against a public utility company), Mr. Miller also has secured numerous results for clients in the six- and seven-figure range. He was honored by the Central Ohio Association for Justice as the recipient of its Louisville Slugger Award for the area’s outstanding trial verdict in 2012 and again in 2018. He has been recognized with numerous awards for client satisfaction, as well.
Mr. Miller has more recently parlayed his knowledge and litigation experience into the role of a third-party mediator. Respected for his insight, objectivity, and professional integrity, Mr. Miller is often retained by other lawyers in his field for mediation services.
Mr. Miller also serves in his community and within his profession. He has provided multiple years of service to, among others, the Columbus Bar Association’s Judicial Screening Committee, and the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the Ohio Association for Justice. As a longtime resident of Worthington, Ohio, Mr. Miller’s practice is physically located in Franklin County; however, he has experience in multiple courts of common pleas and appellate courts, including the Supreme Court, throughout the state of Ohio. He is a Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude graduate of The Ohio State University.
