Nicole discovered her home in Oklahoma when she arrived for law school, and for the past 25 years, she has dedicated her career to advocating for those who need it most. Her unwavering belief that justice requires all voices to be heard has shaped her approach to law and life.
After recognizing systemic issues in elder care, Nicole narrowed her focus to protecting nursing home residents and their families. She has developed deep expertise in regulating nursing homes and assisted living facilities, understanding the legislative framework and industry forces shaping resident care. Her practice combines vigorous litigation for those harmed with dedicated advocacy for industry-wide improvements.
Nicole’s legal scholarship has helped reshape Oklahoma law, particularly fighting against nursing home arbitration agreements. Her commitment to advancing elder care law extends beyond her practice; she regularly mentors law students, judges mock trial competitions, and collaborates with fellow attorneys to strengthen legal protections for vulnerable residents.
A lifelong learner, Nicole actively participates in a nationwide network of elder care attorneys, sharing her expertise and gaining new insights to serve her clients. She believes in the power of collective wisdom and continuous growth in the pursuit of justice.
Away from her practice, Nicole enjoys traveling with her husband Carl, exploring new culinary traditions, and spending time with their beloved pets. She credits Carl’s steadfast support for enabling her to pursue excellence in elder care advocacy.
