A partner with The Handley Law Center, Alex Handley represents clients in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His practice areas cover legal issues including personal injury, criminal law, custody and visitation, DUI/DWI, and oil and gas law. For two consecutive years, he was named on the National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 list, and he has extensive experience working in the entertainment industry. Before joining the firm, he worked on television productions and features films for ABC and The CW.
Admitted to practice in the state of Oklahoma, Mr. Handley is also licensed in the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribal Court. In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in cinematic arts at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts before moving on to law school. At the Oklahoma City University School of Law, he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 2014. During law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Trial Team competition and was selected to the Order of Barristers for exhibiting excellence through Courtroom Advocacy.
While studying for his undergraduate degree, Mr. Handley was commissioned as an officer of the United States Navy ROTC program by Senator John McCain. After serving in the Persian Gulf and at the rank of Lieutenant, he was honorably discharged in 2012.
Mr. Handley is a member of Public Justice, the Oklahoma Association for Justice, the Oklahoma County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Canadian County Bar Association and the Oklahoma County Bar Association. His legal experience also includes business entity formation, guardianships, paternity, divorce and commercial property lease agreements.
