James F. Self, Jr.

James F. Self Jr. is the founder and managing attorney of Self and Associates Inc., an Oklahoma City, Oklahoma-based law firm focused on representing individuals and families facing the consequences of serious accidents and personal injuries. With a practice centered on personal injury law, he represents clients in matters involving trucking accidents, car accidents and wrongful death.

Mr. Self is committed to helping clients pursue their legal rights following traumatic and often life-changing events. Through his personal injury practice, he works to understand the circumstances surrounding each case and provides clients with guidance throughout the legal process. His practice includes advocating for individuals who have suffered injuries in motor vehicle and commercial trucking accidents, as well as families seeking legal recourse following the wrongful death of a loved one.

Academically, Mr. Self earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Tulsa College of Law after completing his undergraduate education at Arizona State University. His legal education prepared him for a career focused on advocacy and representation of individuals navigating complex personal injury and wrongful death matters.

Mr. Self has been admitted to practice law in Oklahoma since 1981. His extensive admissions also include the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. These admissions authorize him to represent clients before state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions.

Throughout his legal career, Mr. Self has maintained an active connection to the legal community. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Oklahoma Association for Justice and the Oklahoma Bar Association.
