Verdicts/Settlements (Case Results):
  • Brisco v Gerard, 2023 OK CIV 19, 530 P. 3d 75. The Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals affirmed summary judgment Mr. Hendrickson obtained on behalf of Rachel Dalthorp, M.D.  Dr. Dalthorp declined admission of the plaintiff’s decedent to a mental health facility because it was unclear whether he was suffering from methamphetamine intoxication or schizophrenia. Plaintiff’s decedent was killed one hour later during a confrontation with a third party. The  Court found that Dr. Dalthorp did not have a physician-patient relationship with plaintiff’s decedent and therefore did not owe a duty to plaintiff’s decedent., 2023
  • Tried in 2024. Teresa Jacomo, Personal Representative of the Estate of Ray Jacomo v Anthony Umoh, M.D. and Ashley McMains, N.P. CJ-2021-5114, District Court of Oklahoma County (6 day trial- Judge Timmons). Mr. Hendrickson was lead counsel representing a hospitalist and nurse practitioner in a wrongful death action. Plaintiff claimed her husband was wrongfully discharged from the hospital by the hospitalist and nurse practitioner resulting in her husband suffering a heart attack and death four days later. Plaintiff sought $10,000,000 in damages. The jury returned a unanimous defense verdict on behalf of the defendants., 2024

  • Blankenship v Almounajjed, District Court of LeFlore County (CJ 2020-0142)., Mr. Hendrickson obtained summary judgment on behalf of internal medicine physician, Dr. Almounajjed, who was the supervising physician for a nurses practitioner (APRN). The APRN was sued for negligently treating and failing to diagnose the plaintiff’s decedent heart related condition resulting in his death. The Court found that Dr. Almounajjed, as the supervising physician, had no physician-patient relationship with plaintiff’s decedent and therefore owed him no duty of care as a matter of law.  , 2023
  • Tried in 2016 - Vicky Montgomery v Caple Spence, M.D. CJ-2013-1012 (5 Day Trial in Oklahoma County - Judge Andrews) - Plaintiff sought $2,000,000 plus in damages for an injury to the iliac vein during low back surgery resulting in partial paralysis. Mr. Hendrickson was lead Partner for the neurosurgeon and obtained a defense verdict for him. , 2016
  • Tried in 2019. Heath, Karen and Vic Albert v John Harkess, M.D. CJ-2018-4768 District Court of Oklahoma County (7 Day Trial -  Judge Stallings). Plaintiff sought $15,000,000 in damages claiming defendants' negligence caused 18 year old patient to need heart transplant. Mr. Hendrickson was lead partner for infectious disease physician and obtained a defense verdict for him. , 2019
