James Travis Barnett

James Travis Barnett is a seasoned family law attorney with Welsh & McGough, PLLC, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He combines an in-depth understanding of Oklahoma family law with a focus on divorce, custody, and visitation advocacy, ensuring that his clients’ matters receive cohesive representation from inception through final resolution. 

In the realm of family law, Mr. Barnett represents clients in divorce and custody disputes, paternity actions, and child support modifications. Mr. Barnett is a thirty-one-year retired Command Sergeant Major (CSM) and veteran of the Oklahoma National Guard and United States Army with multiple deployments overseas. He understands the impact of military services and deployments on families. This brings him a unique prospective on the issues facing military divorce and custody issues.  A member of the VFW and past commander of Tulsa Post 577 he continues to serve his fellow veterans and families in need of a lawyer who understands the military.
