Kathleen M. Egan is an attorney at Bundy Law in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who focuses on family law, mediation, civil justice and appeals. She represents clients facing divorce, custody disputes, complex asset division and related appellate matters, and she brings mediation credentials to resolve sensitive disputes outside the courtroom when appropriate. With a “Very Good” rating on Avvo, she has also been peer-review rated Distinguished* through Martindale-Hubbell.
Ms. Egan’s entry into the law was unconventional. After earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma, she spent a year in New York exploring her interests and sat in on a law school class that shifted her trajectory. That experience led her to Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2007 and developed the analytical and advocacy skills that inform her practice today.
Early career years on Long Island introduced Ms. Egan to high-end family law practice and the rigors of New York courts. Those formative seasons, often under challenging conditions and within traditionally male-dominated settings, shaped her professional demeanor and commitment to courtroom decorum. A subsequent return to Oklahoma in 2014 – after personal life changes that included relocating with her Shiba Inu, Riley Marie – prompted a brief period in personal injury law before she reaffirmed her dedication to family law and reentered that field in 2015.
Ms. Egan has invested consistently in her professional development, attending national conferences and hands-on training in complex divorce matters such as business valuation. She holds certification as a mediator through the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and applies that credential alongside litigation to tailor strategies to each client’s goals. Her approach balances rigorous preparation with candid, respectful client communication, recognizing the emotional and practical toll family disputes impose.
Admitted to practice in New York, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, Ms. Egan is also admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. She has been recognized in Chambers Family/Matrimonial HNW (Band 2), included among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Family Lawyers, and listed in Best Lawyers. Active in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and local bar family law sections, she combines courtroom readiness, mediation skill and a steady, client-centered approach to achieve durable resolutions.
