Among her notable accomplishments, Mrs. Gusman secured an $11 million settlement through the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program in 2012 on behalf of a child who suffered injuries resulting from a routine vaccination. The result reflects her ability to navigate complex legal and medical issues while pursuing meaningful outcomes for her clients.
Ms. Gusman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice, graduating magna cum laude from Washburn University in 2005. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor, with honors, from The University of Tulsa College of Law in 2008. Licensed in Oklahoma in 2008, she is admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Northern Districts of Oklahoma, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
In addition to the zealous representation of her clients, Rachel volunteers with Lawyers Fighting Hunger, which feed, thousands of families across Oklahoma. She is on the Board of Directors for Iron Gate, Tulsa's largest stand-alone soup kitchen and food pantry with the mission to feed the hungry and homeless of Tulsa every day. Rachel also volunteers with Tulsa Lawyers for Children (TLC), which works to ensure quality legal representation of Oklahoma's abused and neglected children. TLC attorneys represent children who are adjudicated, deprived, and are in the custody of the Department of Human Services. She also served as the President of the Oklahoma Association for Justice for the 2025-2026 term, and is active in the Tulsa County Bar Association, Oklahoma Association for Justice, and American Association for Justice.
