Ted A. Troutman

Ted A. Troutman is a bankruptcy attorney who manages the Troutman Law Firm PC in Beaverton, Oregon. He represents clients in Beaverton, Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington counties with matters involving Chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. He also assists with credit repair, debt collection and debt settlement. He has helped many clients save their small businesses and avoid bankruptcy*.

After getting a bachelor’s degree in finance law from the Portland State University in 1981, Mr. Troutman pursued his legal studies at the Lewis & Clark Law School. While in law school, he was honored with the American Jurisprudence Award. He earned his Juris Doctor cum laude in 1984, and he was licensed to practice in Oregon the same year. He is also allowed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. He began his legal career in bankruptcy after seeing his father lose his family farm in foreclosure. 

Rooted in Oregon, Mr. Troutman has more than three decades of legal experience assisting people who are on the verge of bankruptcy. Mr. Troutman has shared his legal knowledge via lectures and conferences on several occasions.

Active in the legal circle, Mr. Troutman is a member of the following legal associations: the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Oregon State Bar. He was also a part of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association from 1987 to 2002.
