Frederick N. Schroeder

Frederick N. Schroeder is a partner at Phillips, Traylor, Myers, Goodin, & Schroeder, LLP, in Bend, Oregon. He concentrates his practice on family law, estate planning, probate and trust administration, and guardianship and conservatorship proceedings. With more than a decade of legal experience, he is committed to guiding individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging and emotional legal matters with clarity, compassion and sound advocacy.

In his family law practice, Mr. Schroeder represents clients in divorce, custody and parenting time disputes, relocation matters, child and spousal support cases, modifications, enforcement actions, contempt proceedings and restraining orders. His estate planning and probate practice includes drafting wills and trusts, assisting families with estate administration, and handling guardianship and conservatorship proceedings. He is recognized for tailoring strategies to meet each client’s unique needs while offering practical guidance throughout the legal process.

Mr. Schroeder began his legal career after graduating from Lewis & Clark Law School. While in law school, he clerked on juvenile dependency cases, gaining early experience in sensitive and high-stakes matters. Following graduation and admission to the Oregon State Bar, he served as a judicial clerk to a noteworthy judge in the Clackamas County Circuit Court, where he observed a wide range of trials and developed a strong understanding of courtroom dynamics. 

Beyond his legal work, Mr. Schroeder is an active member of the Oregon State Bar, the Deschutes County Bar Association, the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Crook County Bar Association. He also devotes time to his community, coaching youth sports and serving as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America. His dedication to both his clients and community underscores his commitment to service, leadership and integrity.
