Tim Williams is the lead litigation attorney at Dwyer Williams Cherkoss Attorneys, P.C., a law firm with six offices across Oregon. As the firm's primary litigation attorney, he has handled numerous litigation cases from around the state and has developed a reputation for his skill in jury trials.
Mr. Williams' primary focus is personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, airline accidents, premises liability accidents, workplace accidents and animal attacks. He has successfully represented clients with subsequent injuries to neck and back, nerves, brain, bones, joints, and other tissues and organs. He also has a great deal of experience in litigating wrongful death cases.
Mr. Williams grew up in Grants Pass, Oregon. While attending Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, he played on the basketball team, which ranked second in the nation during the 1998-99 season. He later graduated summa cum laude with honors, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology.
Having graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2003, Mr. Williams was admitted to the Oregon State Bar the same year. In 2004, he was admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of Oregon. In 2010, he was admitted to the Federal Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
During his eventful legal career, Mr. Williams has been extremely active in the legal community. He serves on numerous organizational boards, including the Board of Governors for the Oregon State Bar, Past Vice President of the Oregon State Bar, the Board of Governors for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice, as well as on various committees for the Oregon State Bar. He also writes for several legal publications and is a national lecturer on trial practice.
He was first recognized by Oregon Super Lawyers® as an Oregon Rising Star® in 2010.
