Kent Anderson

Kent Anderson is a bankruptcy and tax attorney in Eugene, Oregon, with over 40 years of legal experience. Mr. Anderson is the founder of Kent Anderson Law Office and represents Eugene residents with state and federal tax issues.

Mr. Anderson handles disputes involving bankruptcy, audits, conservatorships, estates, debtor-creditor disputes, liens, probate, tax collection and other tax controversies. He has established a solid reputation as a tax attorney and has spoken on tax topics for the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the Northwest Bankruptcy Institute. He is also the author of articles appearing in the Bankruptcy Law Network.

Over the years, Mr. Anderson has served his legal and local communities through leadership positions. He is a former member of the Oregon State Bar Debtor-Creditor Section Executive Committee and board member of the Eugene Ballet.

Additionally, Mr. Anderson maintains active membership in the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section, the American Bar Association Section of Taxation, the Roland K. Rodman American Inn of Court, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Consumer Advocates and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. 

Born and raised in Oregon, Mr. Anderson graduated from the University of Oregon in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He went on to graduate from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1978. He holds a certification in consumer bankruptcy from The American Board of Certification.

Mr. Anderson holds a license to practice law before all Oregon state courts. He is also qualified to appear before the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the Oregon Supreme Court, the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
