Mr. Lowry attended the University of Oregon as an undergraduate and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1971. He subsequently decided to pursue a legal education, and he returned to Eugene and enrolled at the University of Oregon School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1980. He has been an active participant in the Eugene Opera and several other civic organizations.
