Drake A. Hood

Drake A. Hood is a distinguished attorney at Vames Wang Sosa Hood, based in the Portland, Oregon, metro area, extending his services to communities in Hillsboro and Gresham and throughout Oregon. His practice now focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, birth injury, industrial accidents and wrongful death, where he utilizes his rich trial experience and strategic prowess to champion his clients' causes.  

Mr. Hood extensive courtroom experience on the other side of the case has equipped him with a unique perspective and a strategic edge in litigation, particularly in complex injury cases. With an illustrious legal career spanning nearly three decades, he has adeptly transitioned from defending major hospital systems, multinational corporations and various professionals in high-stakes wrongful death and serious injury cases, to advocating for the rights of those harmed by negligence.

He has served on the Oregon Chief Justice’s Civil Law Advisory Committee, the Oregon State Bar’s Council on Court Procedures and as president of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel. Currently, he serves as a judge pro tempore on the Washington County Circuit Court.
