Working at Fischer Family Law, P.C., in Oswego, Oregon, Jack Dekovich has been practicing as a domestic relations attorney since 2013, focusing on mediation and litigation in family law. Spreading his practice across the metropolitan areas of Portland and Vancouver and the surrounding areas, he caters to all matters of family law, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, divorce, domestic violence and legal separation.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Dekovich moved to Oregon in 2010 to attend law school at Willamette University, which has since become his adopted home. From the outset of his career, he has been driven by a profound respect for the legal profession and its capacity to effect positive change on a personal level. He views his role in family law not just as a profession but as a calling, aiming to act as a caretaker for the community through his work.
Mr. Dekovich graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in 2012. He went on to complete his doctorate in jurisprudence from the Willamette University College of Law. In his practice, he handles all aspects of family law with a strong presence in the courtroom. While he always looks for amicable solutions to avoid the stress of litigation, he prepares rigorously for trial from the very beginning of each case, ready to escalate if necessary to defend his clients' interests vigorously.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Dekovich is deeply committed to contributing to society. He actively volunteers with several nonprofits that span a range of interests, including law, education, music and human rights. Notably, he serves on the board of directors for Thimbleberry Collaborative Farm and volunteers his time as a child advocate with the Multnomah County Children’s Representation Project. Additionally, he has been included in the list of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America in the field of family law and accoladed with the James Britt Award by the Multnomah Bar Association. He was given the Clients' Choice Award and rated 10.0 by Avvo.
