Jane Paulson focuses her practice on representing clients throughout Oregon and Washington in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury and product liability cases. From the Portland law firm of Paulson Coletti Trial Attorneys, P.C., Jane helps wrongfully injured individuals and their families to seek full and fair compensation.

She graduated with her J.D. from the Virginia School of Law in 1990. After working as a law clerk for a federal judge, she went on to gain firsthand insight into the strategies and practices of insurance companies working for an insurance defense firm.

Jane had the honor of serving on the Oregon Trial Lawyer’s Association (“OTLA”) Board 1995-2006, was one of Oregon's two American Trial Lawyer Association Delegates 2000-2004, President of OTLA 2004-2005, co-chair of OTLA’s Women’s Caucus for several years and OTLA Volunteer of The Year (2006).

She is an Associate in the American Board of Trial Advocates (2005) and was the first female President of the Oregon Chapter of ABOTA (President 2015-2016).  She received the President’s Special Award of Appreciation from the Oregon State Bar in 2008 for outstanding leadership in promoting access to justice in Oregon.

Jane was honored in 2012 by being invited to join the American College of Trial Lawyers and became the fifth women in Oregon in the College.  The College is a professional society of Fellows who become members only by invitation, with admission limited to experienced, outstanding trial lawyers who are unquestionably and eminently qualified as actively engaged trial lawyers.  In 2012, when she was inducted into the ACTL, she and her father became one of the few father-daughter teams to be in the college.

She has also served several local and state bar committees including the Oregon State Bar Affirmative Action Committee (1994-1997), the Oregon State Bar Procedure and Practice Committee, the Multnomah Bar Association Judicial Screening Committee, MBA Diversity & Equality Committee, board member of Oregon Law Institute (1998-1999) and appointed to Federal Judicial Selection Committee (USDC Judge 2012, USDC Magistrate 2014, 2017 USDC Judge and 2019 Justice 9th Circuit Court of Appeals).

Jane is the 2015 recipient of the Oregon Women Lawyers' Justice Betty Roberts Award -- which recognizes an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to promoting women in the legal profession and in the community.

She the 2017 recipient of the Multnomah Bar Association “Professionalism Award” (for the highest ethical standards and exemplary conduct in the practice of law).

She is a member of numerous professional associations and the recipient of multiple honors, including being named by Portland Monthly magazine as one of Portland's Best Lawyers. As a believer in the importance of giving back to the community, Jane was actively involved and a board member of Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East for years and on the Center For Women's Leadership Board at Portland State University and the Campaign for Equal Justice (the support organization for Oregon's Legal Aid programs).
