Attorney Profile

An attorney and shareholder at the Lake Oswego firm of Buckley Law, Jaye W. Taylor provides legal services for clients dealing with family law matters throughout Oregon and Clark County, Washington. She is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington state, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.  Ms. Taylor has extensive trial experience in Clackamas County, Washington County and Multnomah County.

Small-business owners, high net worth individuals and those with stock portfolios, pensions and other complex financial assets, may face serious consequences if they do not have an advocate with the experience and knowledge to handle these issues in a divorce. Ms. Taylor has spent more than 20 years representing clients in these situations, as well as assisting couples with premarital agreements, pre- and post-divorce estate planning, family trusts, will and trust litigation, contested guardianships and conservatorships.

When children are the heart of the issue, parents who are divorcing may need help developing effective parenting plans, or modifying existing orders such as visitation or support due to relocation or changes of circumstances. Reaching agreements with a minimum of conflict reduces the trauma for the child, but at times, domestic violence issues, parental abductions or parental alienation may make immediate and drastic legal actions necessary. Ms. Taylor handles these sensitive cases and others involving emergency custody, grandparents’ rights and adoption.

Before earning her Juris Doctor from the Lewis & Clark Law School, Ms. Taylor graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was previously series 7 licensed to sell securities and owned a pension administration/actuarial firm for many years. She has appeared in California and Georgia courts, and has handled international custody and divorce cases.  For her superior legal skills and her adherence to ethics, Ms. Taylor has received the highest rating possible of AV Preeminent from Martindale-Hubbell for 2018.
