Matthew A. Goldberg

Matt Goldberg’s practice spans litigation, arbitration, mediation, and a broad range of business, regulatory, and commercial real estate matters. He represents entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, and larger companies across a variety of industries. Matt has been representing clients in the cannabis industry for more than a decade and has been recognized as an Oregon Super Lawyer for five consecutive years.

Matt has served as General Counsel of Emerge Law Group and Harris Sliwoski LLP and practiced at K&L Gates and Kell Alterman & Runstein. He has litigated complex matters in state and federal courts throughout Oregon and Washington for clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individuals.

Matt is a former extern to the Honorable Elizabeth L. Perris (ret.) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Oregon. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar’s Cannabis & Psychedelics Section and previously served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar’s Debtor-Creditor Section. He is also a former Associate Editor and Editorial Board member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation News.

Before becoming an attorney, Matt worked as a journalist for magazines and newspapers, a book editor, and an early-adopting web entrepreneur in New York City.
