Michael T. Wise is the founding partner of Wise Law Group, PC, a law firm based in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Focusing his practice on personal injury law, he has represented injured individuals across the state for over 30 years, litigating cases involving catastrophic injuries, medical malpractice matters, premises liability, product liability and deaths caused by others' negligence. While he focuses his practice mostly on personal injury litigation, he also assists businesses and organizations with business disputes.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, Mr. Wise earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1988 and proceeded to pursue law studies at the University of Oregon School of Law. He earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1992 and received his bar license the same year. The following year, he was admitted to the State Bar of Washington.
Right after graduating from law school, Mr. Wise started his legal career as a deputy district attorney at the Douglas County State Court, trying both misdemeanor and felony cases in the two years he worked there. Later, he worked alongside a renowned attorney, Mike Kennedy, for almost half a decade before founding his firm in 1996. Since then, he has litigated over one-hundred cases, trying them in courts across the state and nation, including the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, the U.S. District Court for the District of Washington and the Oregon Supreme Court. Mr. Wise also serves as a Judge Pro-Tempore in Clackamas County, Oregon.
