Details
Brent Barton represents children with brain injuries, particularly babies injured during birth because of medical malpractice. He litigates these cases all over Oregon.
Brent is an extremely detail-oriented attorney who works with medical experts to establish how birth injuries harmed his clients. He then works with expert lifecare planners to establish what his clients need to realize their greatest potential. Brent also works with professional fiduciaries to ensure his clients remain supported and protected throughout their lives.
Brent has recovered over $175 million for clients in verdicts or settlements, including more than 30 cases exceeding $1,000,000. He holds degrees from Harvard Law School, Stanford University, and Cambridge University.
Community service is important to Brent, who previously served in the Oregon legislature. Brent continues this work by representing many nonprofit organizations pro bono.
