Elizabeth E. Welch

As an attorney with the established Oregon law firm of North Portland Attorneys, Elizabeth E. Welch dedicates her practice to assisting individuals who were hurt or harmed due to the reckless or negligent actions of another party. While working as a law clerk in 2002, Ms. Welch discovered that she has a passion for standing up for the rights of individuals against insurance companies.

This experience eventually led to a dedication to personal injury cases, and she now helps clients throughout the Portland metro area with injury cases and legal concerns related to the following:

• Bike and pedestrian accidents
• Trucking accidents
• Premises liability cases
• Uninsured motorist claims
• Work accidents
• Medical malpractice
• Wrongful death

Ms. Welch graduated from the University of Georgia, and she went on to earn her law degree from the Lewis & Clark Law School in 2004. She gained admittance to the Oregon State Bar in 2006, serving on the board of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association from 2008 to 2013. A noted author and leader in her field, she is a regular contributor to the vehicle accident publication for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.

In addition to her tenacity and vigorous pursuit of positive results on behalf of her clients, Ms. Welch remains deeply dedicated to education and the training of legal professionals. She mentors upcoming personal injury attorneys, and various legal organizations call on her to speak on personal injury, marketing and other related issues at various gatherings and educational functions.

While she now operates a separate practice, she was one of the founding members of Oregon’s first mother-daughter law firm, an endeavor she undertook with her mother. She is active in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and Multnomah Bar Association.  She is on the Board of Youth Rights and Justice.  As of 2025 she is also a Judge Pro Tem in Washington County, Oregon.
