Attorney Judy D. Snyder is the founder and owner of the Law Offices of Judy Snyder located in Portland, Oregon. A highly rated and award-winning civil trial attorney with over 40 years of legal experience, Ms. Snyder focuses her practice primarily on personal injury and wrongful death claims, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, employment law, and other civil litigation matters. She represents clients throughout the Portland area, as well as across the southern and eastern parts of the state.
Dedicated to protecting the rights and entitlements of those she serves, Ms. Snyder advocates on behalf of employees who suffered an injustice at work, as well as those who suffered an injury or loss as the result of another party's negligence or wrongdoing. In addition, she also defends small-business owners who are facing liability litigation, as well as licensed professionals dealing with administrative actions before licensing boards.
Ms. Snyder began her legal career in 1973 after obtaining her Juris Doctor from The Law School at the University of Notre Dame and her license to practice from the Oregon State Bar. Before establishing her private practice in 1978, she served as clerk for U.S. District Court Judge Otto R. Skopil and as a prosecutor for the Multnomah County District Attorney's office. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.
Recognized as one of the leading civil trial attorneys in the region, Ms. Snyder has received a number of awards and honors for her professionalism and service, including the Distinguished Trial Lawyer Award from the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and the Owen M. Panner Professionalism Award from the Oregon State Bar Litigation Section. In 2008, the American Board of Trial Advocates invited her to become a member of its organization, and she holds an AV Preeminent peer review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell.
Fully committed to her practice, Ms. Snyder is active in several professional legal organizations, and she once served as president for both the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association and the Multnomah Bar Association.
