Julie Preciado is a member of Dunn Carney’s business team, with expertise in litigation, employment advice, multistate and remote workplace compliance, and workplace investigation practices. As a former business owner, Julie has a unique understanding of the issues and legal matters that companies face.
Actively involved in the community, Julie serves as a board member of Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation, the American Contractors Association, the Oregon Lawyers Chapter of the American Constitution Society, and as Chair of the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation’s Grants Committee. She regularly presents for the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber Leadership Class and is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association, where she previously served as the Regional Student Representative. Fluent in Spanish, she successfully used her bilingualism to provide language interpretation and translation services prior to her legal career. Before joining Dunn Carney, Julie completed an externship for Oregon Supreme Court’s Chief Justice Walters, an internship for Honorable Magistrate Judge John V. Acosta, and served as a law clerk with the United States Attorney’s Office, as well as with Legal Aid Services of Oregon’s Statewide Low-income Taxpayer Clinic.
