Lisa Kenn

Lisa Kenn is the owner and principal attorney at Lisa Kenn Family Law, LLC, in Portland, Oregon.  Ms. Kenn devotes her practice exclusively to family law, as well as helping families acquire or terminate guardianships for minors and incapacitated adults.  Family law matters are often fraught with emotional and psychological issues that can particularly affect children.  Ms. Kenn thus believes it important to offer counsel, guidance, and support to her clients, as well as legal advice.  

Ms. Kenn has achieved considerable success assisting clients with establishing, modifying, and when necessary, enforcing child custody and support agreements, parenting plans, spousal support agreements, and pre- and post-nuptial agreements.  Ms. Kenn also assists clients with private adoptions, as well as grandparent, stepparent, and non-relative third-party custody and visitation matters.

Ms. Kenn believes it is in her clients' best interest to seek and hopefully resolve their legal cases without the need for expensive, stressful and time-consuming litigation.  However, there are cases in which litigation may be unavoidable.  In those circumstances, Ms. Kenn has extensive family law and guardianship trial experience.  Whether inside or outside the courtroom, Ms. Kenn maintains an unwavering focus on protecting her clients' rights, and her prior experience as a special deputy prosecutor gives her invaluable insight into the impact criminal charges can have on a family.

Haglund Pro Bono Award.  Among her other professional affiliations, Ms. Kenn is a member of the Oregon State Bar Association's Family Law Section, the Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners, Oregon Women Lawyers, and the Family Law Section and Women's Caucus of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association.

Ms. Kenn is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science.  Ms. Kenn was also awarded a Master of Arts in political science from the University of California/Berkeley.  During her enrollment at Lewis & Clark Law School, Ms. Kenn served on the Moot Court Honor Board, and received honors for her 1L moot court appellate brief prior to receiving her Juris Doctor in 2014 .
