Mark Kimbrell is an appellate lawyer who has handled over 150 appeals in Oregon, securing significant constitutional, evidentiary, and procedural wins at the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Court. He believes that trial is just the beginning of the fight for his clients and their rights. The remainder of his practice focuses on criminal defense and criminal adjacent work, and providing law and motions support to other attorneys.
After graduating summa cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School, Mark spent two years clerking at the Oregon Court of Appeals. Following his clerkship, he began his practice at a boutique white collar criminal defense firm before spending five years working as an appellate public defender.
Mark has given presentations on criminal and constitutional law topics. His writing on the constitutional rights of juveniles facing prosecution has been published in the Willamette Law Review, and he co-authored the Oregon State Bar's Criminal Law Barbook chapter on double jeopardy.
