Michael Yates

Mr. Yates' academic journey is impressive; he graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University and earned his law degree with honors from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1983. In addition to his practice, Mr. Yates serves as a judge pro tem for the Multnomah County Circuit Court Judicial Settlement Conference Program. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, actively contributing as treasurer of its Oregon chapter. His commitment extends to the Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners (OAFLP), where he serves on the Board of Directors and was the board president in 2003. He has also volunteered with the Legal Aid Services of Oregon’s Pro Se Assistance Project (ProSAP) and frequently shares his knowledge through lectures on family law.
