Rebecca Cambreleng

A competent employment and labor law attorney, Rebecca Cambreleng is the co-owner of the Portland, Oregon, law firm Cambreleng & Marton. For more than 16 years, she has expended much effort to ensure the protection of workers – whether this involved advising on retirement funds to optimize investments for employees, collaborating with businesses to guarantee conformity to safety and legal standards, or taking a stand on behalf of single employees in the labor force.

The types of issues that Ms. Cambreleng has encountered include wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, sexual harassment, medical and other protected leave, noncomplete agreements, severance negotiations and separation agreements, whistleblower retaliation and workplace discrimination based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or age. She is also well-versed in civil rights claims and other general civil litigation matters. 

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in political science at the University of Oregon in 2002, Ms. Cambreleng received a doctorate in law from the American University Washington College of Law in 2005. Later in 2007, she obtained an LL.M. from the New York University School of Law. She was first licensed in New York in 2006 and later in Oregon in 2013.

As a child, Ms. Cambreleng has seen firsthand how a few employees were taken advantage of without the aid of a lawyer, and she chose to seek a vocation in law since then. As she progressed, she built a fervor for aiding those who have suffered abuse, inside and outside of the work environment. Now she also collaborates with causes that focus on assisting victims and survivors of sexual mistreatment and human trafficking as well as students who have been victimized in schools.

Ms. Cambreleng works as a Judge Pro Tempore at the Washington County Circuit Court. She is connected to numerous legal associations and serves as co-chair of the Public Service Committee of the Multnomah Bar Association. She is an active part of the Legislative Review Committee of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, she is a constituent of Oregon Women Lawyers – Queen's Bench Chapter and participates in a nonlegal role with the Urban Renewal Advisory Committee for the City of Beaverton.
