Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Mr. Fernandes attended The Ohio State University, graduating magna cum laude. Before pursuing law, he spent five years at a civil and environmental engineering firm, conducting environmental site assessments. In 2002, he relocated to Portland, Oregon, to attend Lewis & Clark Law School, where he contributed as an associate editor of the Lewis & Clark Law Review.

In the initial seven years of his legal career, Mr. Fernandes represented insurance companies and their clients in numerous personal injury cases. This experience allowed him to work closely with insurance adjusters in developing, evaluating and defending claims. His extensive knowledge enables him to guide clients through interactions with insurance companies, offering tailored professional services to resolve legal challenges.
