Saville W. Easley

The founder of her eponymous law firm, Saville W. Easley focuses her practice exclusively on family law matters. Based in Portland, Oregon, she provides advice and counsel to people throughout the greater metropolitan area, and she has been admitted to practice before all Oregon state courts since 1992.

A significant portion of Ms. Easley's practice involves her representation of clients whose marriages are coming to an end and who are thus having to deal with such divorce-related issues as the division of complex marital assets and debts, child custody and visitation, and spousal and child support. A forceful courtroom advocate when litigation is necessary, she has a background in mediation and collaborative law, and this often allows her to help her clients come to an accord on some of these matters in a less-adversarial manner through the use of alternative dispute resolution methods.

In addition to her matrimonial practice, Ms. Easley assists clients who have already gotten a divorce and who are now seeking the enforcement of or modifications to existing parenting and support matters. Her other family law experience has encompassed the preparation and review of prenuptial and cohabitation agreements, paternity establishment and disputes, stepparent adoptions, and grandparents' rights. Ms. Easley has served on the board of directors of both the Oregon Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the St. Andrew Legal Clinic, and her other professional memberships include Oregon Women Lawyers. She obtained her legal education at the University of Oregon School of Law, where she was an editor of the Journal of Environmental Law and Education before receiving her Juris Doctor in 1991.
