Tania Manners

Tania Manners is the founder and lead attorney of Manners Law Firm, a Portland, Oregon-based litigation practice dedicated to representing clients in personal injury, medical malpractice and complex civil disputes. With more than 20 years of courtroom and negotiation experience, she provides high-level advocacy with a personalized approach tailored to each client’s needs.

Ms. Manners’s legal career began in 2004 as a prosecutor with the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office in New York, where she gained invaluable trial experience. She then expanded her experience as a litigation associate at both a leading health care law firm and an international firm before serving as associate counsel and settlement negotiator for the New York City Health + Hospitals Corporation. In that role, she supervised outside counsel and resolved numerous high-exposure claims for the nation’s largest public health care system.

Since 2014, Ms. Manners has practiced in Oregon, serving as a partner at two respected litigation boutiques. She has successfully handled cases involving personal injury, casualty and property damage, antitrust, toxic tort, insurance coverage, administrative law and commercial disputes. In 2024, she established Manners Law Firm to deliver exceptional representation rooted in compassion, skill and determination.

Ms. Manners’s trial record includes multiple verdicts in both Oregon and New York courts, and she is highly regarded for her ability to conduct effective depositions, negotiate settlements and advocate tirelessly at trial when necessary. She has received an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and has a 10/10 rating on Avvo. 

Ms. Manners earned her J.D. from Albany Law School, where she served as associate editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science & Technology. She is admitted to practice in Oregon, New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, and remains active in professional associations, including the Multnomah Bar Association, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Oregon Women Lawyers and the American Bar Association.
