Representing clients from his office at PDX Construction Law in West Linn, Oregon, Robert W. Wilkinson focuses his practice on matters involving construction law. Over the course of his 27-year career, he has successfully advocated for owners of single-family homes, apartments, condominiums, hotels, retirement centers and commercial buildings in cases of defect claims. Serving all of Oregon, he is dedicated to providing quality representation, ensuring his clients receive outcomes that align with their goals.
Gaining hands-on experience in construction during college, Mr. Wilkinson holds insight into industrial jargon and the workings of construction. This experience helps him to quickly spot building defects, decipher blueprint deviations and communicate effectively with forensic engineers. This technical knowledge allows him to aggressively debunk contractors' excuses, proving exactly how cutting corners led to the owners' financial damages. In addition to construction defect claims, he handles disputes arising during construction and designs contracts for his clients.
Majoring in American history, Mr. Wilkinson received his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University. He later pursued his law degree at the University of Oregon School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1999. In the same year, he was admitted to practice law in Oregon and later in Washington and Idaho. He is further licensed to appear before the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon.
Outside his private practice, Mr. Wilkinson is an active volunteer with the Legal Aid Services of Oregon. Devoting time to helping victims of domestic violence, he represents them in contested restraining order hearings. He is also a member of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, where he serves on the Publications Committee.
