Details
As founding partner of RM LAW, P.C., Richard A. Maniskas represents clients in Pennsylvania, New York and the District of Columbia. His legal practice focuses on the following matters: securities class action litigation, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder derivative litigation and appeals. With over two decades of experience, he concentrates his attention on broker-dealers litigation for the New York Stock Exchange and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
After working with several firms and gaining extensive experience in facts, potential recovery and law, Mr. Maniskas founded his own firm and now handles complex class action litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country. He places a stronger emphasis on representing stockholders who make claims related to federal securities law and breach of fiduciary duty.
Mr. Maniskas studied at the University of Pittsburgh and earned an undergraduate degree before fulfilling his dream of becoming an attorney at Widener University Delaware Law School. He graduated with his Juris Doctor as an accomplished athlete and as the Widener Journal of Public Law’s internal editor. Along with New York, the District of Columbia and Massachusetts, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the United States Supreme Court.
At the start of his career, Mr. Maniskas was a clerk for a judge in the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, he has gained knowledge and experience in individual and institutional investor litigation, making him an aggressive and passionate representative for clients in legal matters that are often complex.
