Elizabeth (“Liz”) Early's practice areas include divorce, custody, support, equitable distribution, pre, and post-nuptial agreements, and abuse matters. Liz brings a wealth of experience to every case. Liz can be relied on for candid guidance towards favorable settlement outcomes as well as skilled representation in litigation.

While most of Liz's cases involve some degree of litigation, Liz also serves in a variety of alternative roles providing families with tools for solutions outside of litigation. Liz is a certified Parenting Coordinator and is one of the 4 course planners for Pennsylvania's annual state-wide training to serve as a Parenting Coordination.  Liz also serves as a court-appointed child advocate and guardian for minor children. In 2024, Liz and a panel of peers created the Montgomery County Guardian Ad Litem program through which the County provides funding for the appointment of Guardian ad Litems for low-income families requiring that service in custody matters. Liz hosted the training for the MCGAL program in 2024 and 2025. The multiple roles that Liz holds in custody matters gives her a unique perspective into solutions for divided families.

Liz handles private mediation and arbitration cases involving family law issues. Liz has previously served as a court-appointed mediator in Montgomery County, Philadelphia County and New Jersey civil cases.

Ms. Early is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association where she has sat for 2 terms on the Family Law Section Council. In 2023 and 2024, Liz served as the PBA Family Law Section Sponsorship Chair. In 2025, Liz serves as the PBA Family Law Section Programming Chair planning the programming for the twice annual state-wide meetings.

Liz is also active in the Montgomery County Bar Association and served as the Family Law Section Chair in 2024 having previously served as the Section’s Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Chair.

In 2019, the President Judge of Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas appointed Liz to the Montgomery County Family Justice Advisory Board Subcommittee on Support followed by a second appointment in 2024 to the overall Family Justice Advisory Board.

Liz serves as a trustee for the Montgomery County Bar Foundation which provides fundings to organizations that support access to justice. In addition to her role as a trustee, Liz is a member of the Grants Committee and is a fellow of the Foundation.

In 2021, Liz became a Hearing Committee Member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. In this role, Liz sits on hearing committee panels for attorneys facing disciplinary action and/or seeking reinstatement to the practice of law in the Commonwealth.

Ms. Early received a B.S. in Biobehavioral Health with a Minor in Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University at University Park and a J.D. from Temple University School of Law.
