Richard J. Schubert

Richard J. Schubert, a dedicated attorney and partner at AlpernSchubert, P.C., has been a steadfast figure in the legal community of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since his admission to the bar in 1980. Concentrating his practice primarily in western Pennsylvania, he has adeptly handled a wide array of cases, including medical negligence, defective products, automobile accidents, slip-and-fall incidents and other personal injury cases, achieving numerous verdicts and settlements exceeding $1 million.

Starting his career under the mentorship of some of western Pennsylvania’s most seasoned trial and workers' compensation practitioners, Mr. Schubert quickly developed a solid foundation in representing victims in personal injury jury trials and injured workers in administrative law proceedings. After leading a large regional personal injury practice as a managing partner, he founded his own law firm in 1997 to focus on delivering personalized, individualized representation. His practice flourished and in 2006, he co-founded AlpernSchubert, P.C., continuing his commitment to advocating for individuals.

In addition to his personal injury work, Mr. Schubert has a profound commitment to representing individuals affected by workplace injuries. He has successfully advocated for thousands of workers who have faced partial and total disabilities due to workplace accidents, securing substantial settlements that have significantly improved their lives. He is licensed to practice in high-profile courts, including all Pennsylvania appellate and common pleas courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

A recognized leader in trial practice, Mr. Schubert is a board-certified civil trial specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a designation he first earned in 1999.
