Prior to founding his law firm, he worked for the Allegheny County Office of Conflict Counsel in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he gained extensive experience defending people involved in a variety of offenses, ranging from assault to murder.
Earning his bachelor’s in criminal justice from West Virginia State University, Mr. Walker went on to pursue his master’s in education and leadership studies at Marshall University, obtaining his degree summa cum laude in 1999. He then decided to study law at the West Virginia University College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2003. Two years later, he was licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and in 2012, in the state of West Virginia.
While in law school, Mr. Walker was nominated as the president of the Black Law Student Association and chosen to be a part of The Order of Barristers, for being among the top litigators in his class. Moreover, he was the recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for trial advocacy. In his professional career, he has been voted among the Top 100 Trial Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers and listed in the 10 Best attorneys for client satisfaction by the American Institute Of Criminal Law Attorneys.
Rated “Superb” on Avvo, and the recipient of numerous five-star reviews from grateful clients, Mr. Walker is endorsed by his peers as a force to be reckoned with. He is voted to be on the Top 100 list by the National Black Lawyers Association, and he is a lifetime charter member of Rue Rating’s Best Attorneys of America. Furthermore, he is on the Top 50 Men of Excellence list by the New Pittsburgh Courier.
Mr. Walker maintains his relationship with his legal circle by being an active member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the National College for DUI Defense. He volunteers his spare time lecturing via various speaking engagements on topics related to education and leadership issues, and criminal defense.
