In 2003, Ms. Fineman earned a Bachelor of Arts in government and law and graduated cum laude from Lafayette College. She received a Juris Doctor in 2006 and a Master of Laws in 2009, from the Temple University Beasley School of Law.

A published author and regular speaker for continuing legal education courses, Ms. Fineman is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association's Family Law Section, the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Family Law Section and the Doris Jonas Freed American Inn of Court.  Ms. Fineman is also the co-editor of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Lawyer, serves as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates, serves on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Family Law Section Council, is co-chair of the Bucks County Bar Association Family Law Section and was a participant in the 2019/2020 Pennsylvania Bar Association's Bar Leadership Institute.

When not at her practice, Ms. Fineman provides pro bono legal services for the Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania. She also is involved with and serves on the board of trustee of both the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia and the Anti-Defamation League in Philadelphia.
