Brian P. Cavanaugh

Since 2000, Brian P. Cavanaugh has been a tireless advocate for clients as a partner at Stewart, Sorice, Farrell, Finoli & Cavanaugh, LLC. The people of Pennsylvania benefit from his legal skills earned over 25 years of handling cases of family law, divorce, child custody, child support, bankruptcy and debtor-creditor rights.

Mr. Cavanaugh is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Allegheny County Bar Association Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section, and the Westmoreland Bar Association. Serving as chairman of the Westmoreland Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee and as a member of the Westmoreland Bar Association Family Law Committee, he also demonstrates his passion for educating lawyers by authoring seminar materials and speaking at continuing legal education programs and various seminars with topics related to bankruptcy law.

Admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, the United States District Court Western District of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Mr. Cavanaugh applies principles learned beginning with his educational career and extending through his decades of practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from West Virginia University with a major in history in 1991, continuing to earn a Juris Doctor from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1994.
