Neil T. O'Donnell

Neil T. O'Donnell represents clients based in Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, Kingston and the surrounding communities. 

His practice focuses on personal injury matters including sexual exploitation, dram shop and alcohol cases, auto and truck collisions, product liability and premises liability. He handles cases involving insurance coverage, bad faith issues and workers’ compensation law. He is the founder of O’Donnell Law Offices in Kingston.

Mr. O’Donnell graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in history from King’s College in 1984. He earned his law degree at University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the Journal of Law and Commerce. Earning his Juris Doctor (cum laude) in 1987, he was licensed the same year in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and later, in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. O’Donnell is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He maintains his relationships with the legal community by playing an active role in several other prominent associations. He is a member of:

Mr. O’Donnell’s successful track record and commitment to outstanding legal ethics have given him numerous leadership opportunities in many legal organizations. He is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and a court-appointed mediator by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. 

He has a 10 out of 10 rating on Avvo, which rates lawyers based on their qualifications, including experience, professional achievements and disciplinary sanctions. 

He is chosen to be the Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He has been rated AV Preeminent* and received five out of five peer-review ratings through Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. O’Donnell is board-certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a civil trial and pretrial civil advocate. He has earned many honors from the legal community, including recognition among the Top 100 Lawyers by The National Trial Lawyers and is recognized on the Rue Ratings Best Attorneys of America list by the Best Lawyers publication.

Furthermore, he is selected to be on the top 100 Lawyers list by the American Society of Legal Advocates. 

A frequent guest lecturer, Mr. O’Donnell shares his legal knowledge with fellow lawyers. He has been invited to present in seminars on various civil litigation topics by many leading attorney groups. In 2023, Neil had the honor of being named the 2023 Man of the Year by the Greater Wilkes-Barre Friendly Sons of St. Patrick. More recently, he was elected to the King’s College Board of Trustees.
