After graduating in 2000, Cum Laude, from the University of Maryland, College Park with degrees in psychology and criminal justice, Ms. O'Connor worked at a prominent investment firm for several years before deciding to pursue her legal career. She then enrolled at Penn State Dickinson Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2006. She is admitted to practice before all state courts in Pennsylvania, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.

While in law school, Ms. O'Connor worked for the school's Family Law Clinic, and she served as a senior editor for the Penn State International Law Review where she published an article exploring child custody rights issues.

Active in her legal community, Ms. O'Connor is a member of the Delaware County Bar Association, where she has served as chair for the organization's Family Law Section and former president of its Young Lawyers Section.  She is also a Council Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Family Law Section.  Ms. O'Connor is a frequent lecturer on family law matters for the Delaware County Bar Association, and she has also served as a lecturer on divorce matters for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
