Certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, Linda M. Anderson is the founder of Anderson Elder Law. Located in Media, Pennsylvania, she represents clients throughout the Philadelphia region. Ms. Anderson has been admitted to practice in Pennsylvania since 1986, and she is also accredited as an attorney by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which allows her to appear on behalf of clients before that agency in VA benefits hearings. Linda is a member of ACTEC and the Special Needs Alliance. She is also is the past President of PAELA. Her firm has offices in Media and West Chester, PA.
A significant portion of Ms. Anderson's practice involves providing clients and their families with advice and counsel regarding Medicaid and other long-term care planning. She advises them on nursing home care, as well as providing them with available alternatives, such as in-home care and community services. Ms. Anderson also has experience in guardianships, and her practice includes estate planning as well. In this regard, she prepares and reviews wills, special needs and other types of trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. Her ethical and comprehensive handling of what are often sensitive and emotional matters has earned Ms. Anderson a great deal of recognition from her fellow professionals, including an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, she has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America on numerous occasions.
Ms. Anderson attended Sarah Lawrence College as an undergraduate, where she majored in liberal arts and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1980. She then pursued her legal education at the University of San Francisco School of Law, and in 1985 she was awarded her Juris Doctor. Ms. Anderson also holds an LL.M. in taxation from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
