Details

Before becoming a founding partner at Youman & Caputo, LLC, David J. Caputo served as a federal prosecutor. He then moved into private practice where he set record-breaking case results when representing catastrophic injury and whistleblower clients. He now primarily represents injured parties in personal injury cases and employees in employment law cases, in Philadelphia, PA.

Mr. Caputo is a lifelong learner. His academic career began with a B.A. from Duke University, where he graduated cum laude. He then earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School, in 1996. Almost a decade later, he completed his L.L.M at Temple University Beasley School of Law and graduated with honors. He is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and their federal courts. He is also admitted to the United States Tax Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and 9th Circuit.

During his career, Mr. Caputo has won several multimillion-dollar cases for his clients. This includes the $40.5 million Village Green settlement, the $29.6 million Pier 34 settlement and a $21.8 million medical malpractice case in Delaware County. He has also held several leadership positions in his field, including serving on the board of directors of the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia.

Mr. Caputo is a proud member of several law organizations. These include the Taxpayers Against Fraud and Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. When he's not protecting whistleblowers and fighting for compensation for his clients, he's spending time with his family and coaching youth baseball.
