Elizabeth C. Surin

Elizabeth C. Surin is an attorney at Surin & Griffin, P.C., in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Ms. Surin has over 20 years of legal experience and concentrates her practice on immigration, business and consumer law, serving clients throughout the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area. She has personal experience with the immigration process, which motivates her to consistently provide compassionate and exceptional service to her clients, working hard to protect their legal rights.

Earlier in her legal career, Ms. Surin was an employment litigator at a prominent national law firm. She established the business and employment immigration practice at the firm, handling many business, employment and family-based immigration matters. In her current practice, she advises clients on a wide range of topics and provides representation in removal proceedings in immigration court, as well as federal appeals.

After graduating summa cum laude from Wellesley College with a bachelor’s degree, Ms. Surin went on to earn her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. Upon law school graduation, she passed the Pennsylvania bar examination and received her license to practice law before all Pennsylvania state courts. 

Recognized for her extensive immigration law knowledge and experience, Ms. Surin regularly lectures on immigration law at conferences and seminars. She is the author of various articles for legal journals and former member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Philadelphia Chapter Executive Committee.

In addition to managing her practice, Ms. Surin serves the Philadelphia community through volunteer work. She frequently provides pro bono legal advice to individuals at the Welcoming Center, an organization that provides services for immigrants new to Pennsylvania.
