    A recognized leader in health care law, Mr. Heller maintains a successful practice handling cases involving medical malpractice and managed care liability cases, particularly those that affect people with drug and alcohol addictions as well as those suffering from mental disorders such as autism.

    A staunch advocate for patient rights, Mr. Heller has been instrumental in influencing regulations involving addiction and autism treatment under the Affordable Care Act, and in 2010, the Richard J. Caron Foundation bestowed him with the Brian H. Early Award for his outstanding contributions in this area.

    A 1986 graduate of Williams College, Mr. Heller obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School in 1990. While in law school, he received numerous scholarship awards and served the Michigan Law Review as managing editor. In 1991, the Pennsylvania Bar Association admitted him to practice, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

    An accomplished author and speaker, Mr. Heller has published numerous articles and conducted lectures across the country on a variety of legal topics related to medical malpractice, managed care issues and other subjects. He is highly active in his legal community and currently serves on the Pennsylvania Association for Justice's Amicus Curiae Committee. He is a former board member of the Legal Clinic for the Disabled and was once co-chair for the Philadelphia Bar Association Language Access Task Force.
